CONFERENCE OF HEADS OF NURSING SERVICES DEPARTMENTS OF HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN NIGERIA
As part of its regulatory functions, the Council identified the need to reposition nursing and midwifery clinical practice in Nigeria and is therefore organizing a conference for Heads of Nursing Services Departments in Nigeria Healthcare Faciliites.
The conference has been organized for nurse managers in charge of nursing service departments at different levels of health insitituions including private, primary, secondary as well as tertiary health facilities/institutions in Nigeria. The programme would provide interface between Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and nurse managers in clinical practice areas for consensus building on strategic direction for Nursing and Midwifery practice in Nigeria.
Aim of the Conference
The aim of the conference is to share and discuss ideas that would facilitate improved quality nursing care delivery at all levels of health care and the health of the citizenry in general.
THEME:
The theme of the Conference is "Challenges of Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Practice in Nigeria: Response of Nursing Managers"
TARGET AUDIENCE:
The expected audience at the Conference are:
- Head of Nursing Services at secondary and Tertiary health facilities.
- Nurses in charge of nursing departments at the Local Government Commissions.
- Nurses in charge of nursing departments in private hospitals
- Assistant Head of Nursing Services Departments
- Wards and Units Heads
DATE AND VENUE OF THE TRAINING
The conference was slated to hold in six(6) centres in the geopolitical zones of the country, but due to low registration of participants accross the country, the Board at its 59th meeting has approved that the conference should be compressed and implemented in one Centre(South West) which is now scheduled to hold as follows:

Late Registration: N85,000 - 13th February - 3rd April, 2023
Onsite Registration: N95,000 - 4th - 6th April, 2023
